The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed Andrew McCutchen back to Pittsburgh and the 2022 rookie class had a strong season.

🏈 Mike Tomlin welcomed back Andrew McCutchen to the city, as the Pirates signed the All-Star center fielder to a one-year deal on Friday after a six-year hiatus from the team. “Awesome to have @TheCUTCH22 back in black and gold. Welcome back my guy,”  Tomlin tweeted. Cam Heyward was also thrilled by the McCutchen signing. “Glad to have @TheCUTCH22 back in the BURGH!!!!” Heyward said on Twitter.

🏈 Kenny Pickett had a 97.6 QBR when targeting George Pickens in 2022, the best QBR by any quarterback targeting any receiver this season (minimum 50 attempts).

🏈 The Steelers ranked third in offensive snaps by rookies (2103) this season, behind only the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Chargers.

🏈 Kenny Pickett led all rookies in passing yards this season with 2,404. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was second with 1,374 yards.

🏈 According to Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan, there’s a 99.9% chance that Matt Canada will be back as the Steelers offensive coordinator in 2023.

🏈 Jadeveon Clowney said he apologized to Browns star Myles Garrett more than a week after the defensive end criticized Cleveland. Clowney got sent home by Cleveland for his negative comments and was inactive for the regular season finale against the Steelers.

🏈 Minkah Fitzpatrick’s Pro Football Focus grades in 2022 exemplify why he was named first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.
