Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky’s wife, Hilary, celebrated their birthdays with a joint party this weekend at Walter’s BBQ Southern Kitchen in Lawrenceville. T.J. Watt was also at the party. Pickett turns 25 on June 6.

Trubisky said his close relationship with Pickett on and off the field was a major reason he wanted to sign a contract extension in Pittsburgh.

🏈 Both Terry Bradshaw and Kenny Pickett were at an autograph signing in Ohio on Sunday with former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar.

🏈 Ben Roethlisberger gave some insight and pointers to Findlay High School (Ohio) quarterback Ryan Montgomery in Pittsburgh this weekend. Montgomery is a sophomore and has several Division 1 programs looking at him. Other members of the Findlay team were also in Pittsburgh to visit with Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger graduated from Findlay in 2001.

🏈  The Herbig brothers, Nick and Nate, threw out the first pitch at the Pittsburgh Pirates game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. Nick threw the pitch while Nate was behind home plate as the catcher. “Wouldn’t want my first MLB game in any other place 🤙🏼🤙🏼 #buccos,” Nick Herbig tweeted.

🏈  WYNT NewsChannel 13: According to Rodger Wyland, Terence Foster is not accepting the Albany Empire head coaching position. Foster was the defensive coordinator of the Iowa Barnstormers and had 20 years under his belt of coaching in the indoor game. Instead, Moe Leggett will be the new interim head coach of the Empire. Majority owner Antonio Brown also made headlines again, as reports came out of him being removed from the hotel where Empire players were lodged. First reported by the Times Union, Brown was reportedly asked to leave the Holiday Inn on Broadway due to loud music and accusations of marijuana use. Albany Police confirm they responded at the request of the hotel at around 9:15 p.m., they say no charges or citations were issued. AB announced on Sunday that his “Put That S*** On” tour will begin on July 21 in Miami.

🎂 Happy Birthday to Pittsburgh Steelers safety Damontae Kazee, born on June 5, 1993 in San Bernardino, California. Kazee was a fifth-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons out of San Diego State in the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent four years in Atlanta and a season with the Dallas Cowboys before signing with the Steelers in April of 2022. Kazee signed a two-year contract extension with the Steelers on March 14. It’s expected that Kazee with start at strong safety opposite of All-Pro free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. In his six-year career, Kazee has recorded 271 total tackles, seven forced fumbles, 19 passes defended and 14 interceptions.

🎥  Steel City Star shared footage of former Steelers linebacker Bryan Hinkle’s pick-six off Joe Montana in Week 7 of the 1984 season, a crucial play in the Steelers’ 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. It was the only time that San Francisco lost in 1984.
