To this point in the season, one of the Steelers’ linebackers is outperforming a Cleveland star, and another mock draft has Pittsburgh bolstering its defensive front this upcoming spring.

🏈 While the debate continues about who a team would be better off with — T.J. Watt or Myles Garrett — it appears someone else has entered the conversation. Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith has had a better statistical campaign than Cleveland’s former first-overall choice.

🏈 Former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward shared his assessment of why he hasn’t been inducted into the Hall of Fame yet. He explained to CBS Sports that it has something to do with the offense he played in.

🏈 A recent CBS Sports mock draft has the Steelers scooping up highly-touted interior defensive lineman Jalen Carter. Carter has 22 solo tackles, two sacks, and a pair of forced fumbles for Georgia this fall.

🏈 Ahead of Monday night’s visit to Indianapolis, the Steelers recounted a stirring goal-line interception by safety Minkah Fitzpatrick on Twitter. The pick-six came before the two-minute warning of the second half and was an example of his playmaking ability after being acquired in a trade.

🏈 Rookie Steelers defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal looks to be nearing a return from his knee injury. Leal has been on the injured reserve since mid-October, but was inhibited in practice this week.

🏈 The injury outlook for tailback Jaylen Warren isn’t looking great. Although the Steelers play on Monday, the undrafted rookie missed practice for a third day in a row.
