🏈 Longtime NFL draft analyst Greg Cosell is a big fan of Steelers’ fourth-round pick Nick Herbig.

“I think he just knows how to rush the quarterback, and that’s trait that’s always in demand,” Cosell said. “Now, people are going to look at his weight [6-foot-2, 240] and his arm length [31 1/4 inches, which is 18th percentile among edge-rushers since 1999], and that’s one reason I’m sure he was drafted in the fourth round. His tape tells you that he’s a very good pass-rusher, but then, you try to project his transition, and teams might say, ‘I’m not sure.’ And that’s a fair debate to have. He played almost exclusively on the ball, and some people have projected him to be an off-ball linebacker. I don’t know what the Steelers’ plan is for him. But he has slippery, explosive traits as an edge-rusher, he had subtle hand usage, he was able to clear the arc, flatten his rush path, and close with speed to the quarterback.”

🏈 93.7 The Fan: Georgia analyst Randy McMichael of 92.9 The Game in Atlanta said “it’s going to be like the Great Wall of China” when Broderick Jones and Darnell Washington lineup next to each other.

“Broderick, this kid, nobody gets around him,” McMichael said. “In pass protection he is so athletic to be as big as he is, and he is still growing as a player. You watch him on a screen route, and he gets out and demolishes DB’s it is just a beautiful thing. You know who wanted him bad, the Jets. You think he’s big? Him and Darnell next to each other, it’s going to be like the Great Wall of China. Ain’t nobody happier than Najee Harris they are going to move people on the left side in Pittsburgh.”

🏈 Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons thinks fellow Penn State Nittany Lion Joey Porter Jr. will be just fine at the next level, despite dropping in the draft to 32nd overall.

“Man tbh if you outside top 15 second round might be better !! You get to re up that bag way quicker!! But I think Joey will be great no matter where he was selected! You can’t teach dog and he has that,” Parsons tweeted.

🏈 T.J. Watt revealed that he’s officially a Burnley Football Club fan. Watt’s brother J.J. announced on Monday that he and his wife, soccer player Kealia Watt, are investing in Burnley FC. Other than the obvious brother connection, J.J. thinks T.J. fits the mold of a Burnley fan. “Old mill town, tough, hard working people who live and die with their club every week… sounds a little familiar.”

🏈 Najee Harris was at the MTY Technology Major League Practice in Guadalajara, Mexico on Wednesday.

🏈 Steelers general manager Omar Khan will be on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday.

🏈 Steelers second-round pick Keeanu Benton posted a clip of his draft day reaction. “Best day of my life by a long shot #SteelersNation,” Benton tweeted.

📅 Former Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker James Harrison turns 45 years old on Thursday.
