Will the Pittsburgh Steelers take a cornerback in Round 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft? Two good options have emerged. Kenny Pickett is the rookie of the week,.

🏈 Even with a 4-7 record, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk isn’t counting out the Steelers just yet. “When you look at the other teams in the AFC North right now, they’re three games out. They still play the Ravens twice, but every time I talk myself into them not having a chance, I stop myself. There’s always a chance,” Florio said on 93.7 The Fan.

🏈 Kenny Pickett continues to rack up accolades, as he was named Rookie of the Week by Pro Football Talk for his performance against the Indianapolis Colts.

🏈 Dane Brugler of The Athletic has the Steelers selecting Georgia cornerback Kalee Ringo at 12th overall in his NFL mock draft 2023, 1.0. Joey Porter Jr., the son of the legendary Steelers outside linebcker, could also be an option for the Steelers if they have the 12th overall pick. Porter declared for the 2023 NFL Draft on Wednesday.

🏈 In the deep passing game (20+ yards), George Pickens leads all rookies in receptions (10) and receiving yards (285). Pickens is averaging 14.2 yards per catch through 11 games.

🏈 The Steelers had a league-worst -77 point differential in their first eight games prior to the bye week. Since then, the Steelers are +10 in their last three games.

🏈 Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith confirmed on Wednesday that tight end Kyle Pitts underwent season-ending knee surgery.

🏈 Arthur Smith also addressed Kenny Pickett’s improvement. “You can see a young player getting into a rhythm. He’s a talented football player,” Smith said. The Falcons were a quarterback-needy team in this past year’s draft, but they passed on Pickett and selected USC wide receiver Drake London at eight overall.

🏈 The Dallas Cowboys are expected to open the 21-day practice window for wide receiver James Washington. He’s been on injured reserve after breaking his foot in training camp.
