The Baltimore Ravens were eliminated from the playoffs with Sunday night’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and there seems to be plenty of angst about the future of that franchise that has so often stood in the way of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

🏈 Head coach Brian Daboll led the New York Giants to their first playoff win in 11 years on Sunday, as the G-Men took down the Minnesota Vikings, 31-24. The Giants will take on the No. 1 seed Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. The winner of the Cowboys-Buccaneers game on Monday night will face the No. 2 seed San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

🏈 In the AFC on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills escaped an upset with a 34-31 win over the Miami Dolphins, while a 98-yard fumble return for a touchdown by defensive end Sam Hubbard lifted the Cincinnati Bengals to a 24-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson forced the fumble on Tyler Huntley who attempted to leap over the goal-line on a quarterback sneak. Hubbard’s 98-yard fumble return touchdown was the longest in NFL playoff history. The Bengals will face the Bills at Highmark Stadium on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Jacksonville Jaguars will travel to Kansas City to play the No. 1 seed Chiefs on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

🏈 Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins told reporters after the loss that “he’s tired of not getting the ball, tired of being held back.” He also said Huntley should have never been in that position on a quarterback sneak. And then added, “If we would’ve had Lamar (Jackson), we would’ve won, too.” John Harbaugh said the play call was for Huntley to go low on the sneak. He instead tried to go over the top.

🏈 Michael Vick criticized Lamar Jackson for not playing through his knee injury. “It’s the playoffs, you’re three games away. Put a brace on it. Get it going,” Vick said on FOX. It should be noted, however, that Robert Griffin III’s career as a starter was essentially ruined by wearing a brace. Jackson also still doesn’t have a long-term contract with Baltimore.

🏈 With his performance on Sunday against Minnesota, Daniel Jones become the first quarterback in NFL postseason history with 300+ pass yards, 2+ passing touchdowns and a 70+ rush yards in a playoff game.

🏈 From 2003-2021, teams that scored 30+ points and won the turnover margin (+1 or better) were 60-2 in the postseason. There have been two losses this postseason (Chargers and Dolphins).

🏈 Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but he has been a turnover machine this season with 16 interceptions and 22 giveaways … both rank the most in the NFL (including playoffs). Allen is a true definition of a gunslinger.

🏈 The son of Steelers legend and Hall of Famer, Jerome Bettis Jr., said his top schools as of right now are Notre Dame (his dad’s alma mater) and Ohio State. Bettis, who is a member of the 2025 recruiting class, is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver at Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Ga.

🏈 Sunday marked the 17th anniversary of Ben Roethlisberger’s game-saving tackle on Colts cornerback Nick Harper in the 2005 divisional round game. The Steelers would go on to defeat Indianapolis 21-18 and ultimately win Super Bowl XL that season, all thanks to Roethlisberger’s heroic tackle.
