George Pickens and Connor Heyward took some of their veteran Pittsburgh Steelers teammates out for their rookie dinner and Troy Polamalu made a surprise appearance to surprise the MVP of the Polynesian Bowl high school all-star game.

🏈 A hobbled Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to their fifth consecutive AFC Championship Game by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-20, at Arrowhead. Over in the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles routed the New York Giants, 38-7, at Lincoln Financial Field.

🏈 Andy Reid now has as many playoff wins as the head coach of the Chiefs
as he had in his 14 years with the Eagles (10). He joins Bill Belichick and Tom Landry as the only head coaches in NFL history with 20 or more playoff wins.

🏈 Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid (2018-22) tied Ken Stabler and John Madden (1973-77) for the second-most consecutive conference championship game appearances by a quarterback-head coach duo in NFL history. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick (2011-18) hold the record with eight consecutive appearances in a conference championship game.

🏈 The Eagles, 38-7, win over the Giants was the largest victory in a playoff game between divisional opponents since the 1970 NFL merger.

🏈 The Eagles have the most NFC Championship Game appearances since 2000 with seven.

🏈 The Cowboys are a league-worst 0-5 in the divisional round since 2000.

🏈 Cam Heyward gave a shoutout to George Pickens for taking care of the Steelers’ rookie dinner.

🏈 The Steelers have the 16th-best home winning percentage in the playoffs since the 1970 merger (minimum five games played). Pittsburgh has a home playoff winning percentage of .656% (21-11).

🏈 Former Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel stopped by UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to get a beard trim. Each patient helped with Keisel’s new look – all while raising funds for kids with cancer.

🏈 Polynesian Bowl defensive MVP Andrew Harris was stunned when he realized that he was next to Steelers legendary strong safety and Hall of Famer Troy Polamalu at the podium.
