🏈 Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis thinks the Steelers need to sit down with George Pickens and layout guidelines.
“They’ve got to figure out about George Pickens in terms of can he be the player that they need him to be, right? On the field, off the field, all those things. And so I think they have to sit down with him and get that figured out,” Bettis said on the Dan Patrick Show.
🏈 With the Kansas City Chiefs’ 23-14 win over the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round game on Sunday, the Chiefs became the fourth back-to-back Super Bowl champion team to reach the conference title game. No team seeking a three-peat has reached the Super Bowl. The 1976 Steelers, 1990 San Francisco 49ers and 1994 Dallas Cowboys all came up short in the title game.

🏈 The last Steelers’ playoff win was against the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2016 Divisional Round. The Chiefs have 16 playoff wins and three Super Bowl titles since being eliminated by Pittsburgh in 2016. In contrast, the Steelers have no playoff wins since then, losing six straight.
🏈 Saturday marks the 49-year anniversary of the Steelers’ 21-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl X at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. A 64-yard TD pass from Terry Bradshaw to Lynn Swann in the fourth quarter solidified Pittsburgh’s 21-17 win over Dallas. It marked the second consecutive Super Bowl Championship for Pittsburgh.
🏈 NFL historian Kevin Gallagher posted an NFL Films clip of Lynn Swann’s “Levitating Leap” in Super Bowl X. It was the signature play of Super Bowl X.
🏈 On this day in 2009, the Steelers booked their ticket to Super Bowl XLIII with a 23-14 win over the Baltimore Ravens in the 2008 AFC Championship Game.
