🏈 Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press said a team official told the AP last week that a Russell Wilson reunion in Las Vegas is unlikely. Along with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Maaddi sees the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants and New York Jets as potential landing spots for Wilson.

🏈 Former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast on Thursday.

🏈 Warren Sharp of Sharp Football wrote in-depth piece on the Steelers’ quarterback debacle. He thinks the Steelers negligence in finding a successor to Big Ben cost them dearly.

🏈 Warren Sharp thinks Pittsburgh’s biggest mistake was not drafting Jalen Hurts in the 2020 NFL Draft after watching their 37-year old Ben go down in Week 2 of 2019 with a season-ending elbow injury.

🏈 Russell Wilson had the lowest percentage of plays (51.7%) spent in a clean pocket in 2024, according to the 33rd Team.

🏈 Tyler Brooke of the 33rd Team named the Steelers as a potential fit for free agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

“A potential pairing of George Pickens and Stefon Diggs would be one of the most intense wide receiver duos in the league,” Brooke wrote.

“Pickens is a talented No. 1 target, but the Pittsburgh Steelers have lacked another reliable weapon in the passing game, allowing opponents to focus all of their efforts on shutting the top target down. Pittsburgh’s situation is so bad that besides Pickes, who averaged an impressive 2.11 yards per route run, no other receiver on the roster averaged more than 1.41 YPRR.

“The Steelers aren’t even sure who their starting quarterback will be in 2025, but regardless of who plays under center, they need to add weapons. A player like Diggs won’t be cheap, but they have $53 million in cap space and have to do something to take some of the pressure off of Pickens as the team’s only viable option in the passing game.”

🏈 Maxx Crosby is now the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. He averages $35.5 million per year. T.J. Watt, who’s heading into a contract year, currently makes $28 million per year, which is the fifth-highest among edge rushers.

🏈 Happy Birthday to former Steelers wide receiver and Hall of Famer Lynn Swann, born on March 7, 1952 in Alcoa, Tennessee.

🏈 Steelers legend Franco Harris was also born on March 7, 1950 in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
