π The Baltimore Ravens made several mistakes in Sunday night’s Divisional Round loss to the Buffalo Bills, but tight end Mark Andrews pretty much threw the game with dropping a pass on the two-point conversion that would have tied the game at 27-27 with under two minutes remaining. Andrews also fumbled on the previous drive, which was recovered by Buffalo and led to a field goal.
π Mark Andrews’ drop was very similar to his drop on a two-point conversion that lost the game for the Ravens in 2021 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
π Jackie Smith’s drop in Super Bowl XIII was trending on X after Mark Andrew’s drop on the two-point conversion. Verne Lundquist famously made the call, “Bless his heart, he’s got to be the sickest man in America!”
π The Ravens’ postseason struggles continue with Lamar Jackson. The 2018-24 Ravens joined the 1999-2005 Indianapolis Colts as the only other team in NFL history with 80+ wins in a seven-season span without reaching a Super Bowl.
π Tom Brady said during the FOX broadcast of the Commanders-Lions game that Detroit wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown reminds him of a βyoung Hines Ward.β
π The Detroit Lions ran the same toss shovel pass in Saturday night’s Divisional Round game that the Steelers used with Antwaan Randle El against the New York Giants in 2004. Randle El is the Lions wide receivers coach.
