🏈  Mike Tomlin (173 career wins) is currently 20 wins behind Hall of Famer Chuck Noll (193) for the all-time Steelers record. With his three-year contract extension, Tomlin should supplant Noll as the winningest coach in Steelers history.

🏈 Pro Football Focus listed Alex Highsmith as one of the most underrated edge defenders in the NFL.

🏈 According to Andrew Fillipponi, 27 NFL coaches have won a playoff game more recently than Mike Tomlin.

🏈 Per Scott Kacsmar, the only coaches to go into an eight season after a seven-year run without a playoff win are Don Shula, Jim Mora, Marvin Lewis and Mike Tomlin. Only the last two did it since the multiple wild card team era.

🏈 Mike Tomlin’s alma mater William & Mary congratulated him on his three-year contract extension with the Steelers.

🏈 How it started and, 17 years later, how it’s going. Mike Tomlin’s agent Brian Levy of Goal Line Football shared two photos of Tomlin signing his contract. One was in 2007 and the other was 17 years later in the same room.

🏈 Football’s Greatest Moments on X shared a throwback to when the 1986 Kansas City Chiefs special teams unit scored three touchdowns in the first half against the Steelers. A blocked punt recovered for a touchdown, a 97-yd kickoff return and a blocked Field Goal returned for a touchdown. Pittsburgh lost to Kansas City, 24-19.
