🏈 Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier returned to West Virginia University on Wednesday night to watch the West Virginia-Houston men’s basketball game.

🏈 Steelers fan(s) trolled the Cleveland Browns by placing a “Future Home of Ben Roethlisberger Stadium” sign at the site of the Browns’ proposed new stadium about 20 minutes outside of downtown in Brook Park.

Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was 26-3-1 in his career against the Browns, posting a 11-2-1 record in games played in Cleveland. Roethlisberger’s 11 wins are the second-most by a quarterback at the Browns stadium, which opened in 1999. Former Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield surpassed Roethlisberger in 2020.

🏈 Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin shared some words with Kentucky defensive tackle Deone Walker during practice at the Senior Bowl on Wednesday.

🏈 Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel thinks the Steelers should bring back Justin Fields over Russell Wilson.

🏈 Mike Golic Jr. questions how long Art Rooney II can continue to sell Mike Tomlin to Steelers fans:

“You wonder about that fanbase, which already has more angst around Mike Tomlin’s job. I’m not saying he should be on the hot seat. I’m not saying they should fire him. But I do wonder how much longer you can sell it to them,” Golic said on the GoJo and Golic podcast. “I’m wondering how much longer you can sell build up the rest of the roster and hope when right in your division, you’ve got two teams with quarterbacks that look like they’re going to wear gold jackets someday soon.”

🏈 According to Front Office Sports, Steelers defensive coordinator Teryl Austin is making less than $1 million a year. And the Steelers have the cheapest defensive coaching staff in the NFL.

🏈 Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk thinks Justin Fields should absolutely be the Steelers starting quarterback in 2025.

“If one or the other is going to be back, I don’t know why it would be (Russell) Wilson and why it wouldn’t be (Justin) Fields,” Florio said on 93.7 The Fan.

🏈 Steelers president Art Rooney II spoke with Bob Pompeani of KDKA-TV about several topics as he enters the offseason after another failed playoff run.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said in his season-ending press conference that changes were going to be made this offseason, but nothing has happened yet.

“When you talk about change, last year, we made significant changes on the offensive side of the ball, brought in a new coordinator, brought in some new position coaches on the offensive side, so I would say it’s not as though we haven’t made any changes,” Rooney said. “[I’m] looking forward to the second year under Arthur Smith in terms of the offense, preferably with one of the two quarterbacks we had on the roster this year so we can continue to develop that way.”

🏈 Art Rooney II said the team has no intentions of trading Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt.

“I’d have to put it in the ‘unlikely’ category. He’s certainly been one of the real, solid pieces we have on that defense. I think he’s the kind of guy we want to have in the locker room going forward,” Rooney told Pompeani.

🏈 Art Rooney II also discussed the fans frustrations over the five-game losing streak to end the season.

“I understand their frustration with how we finished 2024. It just wasn’t good enough, not what we expected, and everybody in this building knows that we have work to do and we’ve got to be better than that,” Rooney said. “We’ve got some big decisions to make and we’re going to be rolling up our sleeves and doing the best we can to make sure we’re better next year.”
