🏈 North Allegheny defensive tackle Lincoln Hoke announced his commitment to Pitt, while on his official visit on Friday. Hoke is the son of former Steelers nose tackle Chris Hoke.
Hoke is a three-star recruit and a member of Pitt’s 2026 recruiting class.
🏈 Just hours before Aaron Rodgers signed his deal with the Steelers, Mason Rudolph spoke at the ManUp Pittsburgh Conference about how God has helped him through tough times in his life.
🏈 Mason Rudolph threw out the first pitch at the Pittsburgh Pirates’ game at PNC Park on Saturday.
Rudolph, and tight end Connor Heyward, were getting lose on the warning track in front of the Pirates’ dugout in the hours leading up to the start of the game.
The 29-year-old had to quickly get used to throwing a baseball instead of a football — at least for one day. This first pitch won’t be Rudolph’s first rodeo, though.
“I did one in college at Oklahoma State. It was fun,” he said. “Much different than a football, as you guys know. It’s lighter and you gotta get a couple warmups in to kind of get a feel for it.”
Rudolph and Heyward talked briefly with Pirates relievers David Bednar and Chase Shugart. Though their conversation revolved more around restaurants and the city of Pittsburgh than advice on the first pitch, the Steelers quarterback has some playing experience to rely on.
🏈 Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis is on his way to visit the New Orleans Saints, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Davis also recently visited the Steelers.
🏈 Aaron Rodgers says “he doesn’t use bluetooth headphones” because it messes with his brain’s frequency. He only uses wired headphones.
🏈 Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth revealed on Saturday that he got engaged with his girlfriend Jillian Cataldo.
“For life,” Freiermuth said on his Instagram story.
🏈 Jacob Gibbs of Fantasy Football Today posted a clip of every one of Aaron Rodgers’ throws of 20+ air yards without pressure in 2024.
🏈 Spotrac posted Aaron Rodgers’ contract history. On Saturday, the four-time league MVP signed a one-year, $13.65 million contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers that includes $10 million guaranteed and has a maximum value of $19.5 million.
Not including endorsements or other income, Rodgers currently ranks first all-time in career earnings ($381.6 million), ahead of Matthew Stafford ($364M) and Tom Brady ($317M).
🏈 Aaron Rodgers has the lowest career interception percentage in NFL history (1.4%). In addition, he has the highest touchdown-to-interception ration in league history (4.3).
🏈 Aaron Rodgers will also enter the 2025 season as the league’s all-time leader in passer rating (102.6).
