🏈 Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan touched on the Matthew Stafford-Steeler rumors at the NFL Combine.
“I’m not going to comment on specific players or things that are out there. The one thing I’ve learned is that there’s a lot of fake news out there,” Khan said. “That’s just part of what we do, but there’s a lot of fake news out there. I’ll say that all options are on the table until we address our quarterback position.”
🏈 Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty’s pro comp is Alvin Kamara, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Steelers have a formal meeting scheduled with Jeanty at the NFL Combine, per Ryan Fowler of the Draft Network.
🏈 Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said at the NFL Combine that he has “an unhealthy obsession” with offensive and defensive Linemen. “We can never have enough.”
The Steelers are looking to replicate a similar blueprint to that of the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles.
🏈 Zach Frazier,Keeanu Benton, Isaac Seumalo and Breiden Fehoko will be at the Herbig brothers camp in Hawaii.
🏈 Omar Khan said at the NFL Combine that he has a lot of confidence in wide receiver Roman Wilson has he heads into Year 2. Wilson had an injury-riddled first season with the Steers, playing just five offensive snaps in his rookie campaign. On October 28, he was placed on the reserve/injured list due to a hamstring injury. Although he was designated for return before the final regular season game, he remained on the injured list for the rest of his rookie season.
“I have a lot of confidence in Roman. Unfortunately, our season didn’t continue, but Roman was in position to play if we needed him to in the posteason,” Khan said.
