Steelers DB Arthur Maulet Returns to Game vs. Chargers for Concussion Evaluation

Published

on

Steelers cornerback Arthur Maulet returned his team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night after leaving for evaluation for a concussion.

Maulet had already been playing an increased role with Joe Haden (left mid-foot sprain) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (COVID-19 Reserve List) out against the Chargers. Fellow slot corner Tre Norwood started at free safety in place of Fitzpatrick, leaving many of the Nickel reps for Maulet.

He was not immediately replaced by another cornerback, but Ahkello Witherspoon, Justin Layne and safety Karl Joseph would have been the Steelers’ options to replace him.
