The 2025 NFL Draft can’t come soon enough for fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to an examination of Google Search trends done by BetMaryland.com, Pittsburghers showed the fifth-most interest in the draft, which starts April 24 in Green Bay, WI.

The Steelers hold the 21st overall pick in the draft, where they will look to snag a talent that will help them win their first playoff game in almost 10 years. Th other major factor in this trend could be fans trying to figure out a timeline on Aaron Rodgers’ decision. The team still need to figure out a plan at quarterback, and if Rodgers hasn’t made a commitment in two weeks, that draft pick may be Pittsburgh’s best chance to find a starter this offseason. The team has already welcomed several QB prospects to UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, such as Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.

If no other veteran has signed by then, this could wind up being the most high-stakes draft of the Mike Tomlin era.

Unsurprisingly, Packers fans took the top spot on the list, as they host this years’ edition. Pittsburgh will soon climb to that top spot, as the three-day event comes to town in 2026.

Most of the other fanbases showing the most interest are the ones picking at the top. The Cleveland Browns are second on the list, as they are slotted second overall. It’s the franchise’s first time with an opening-round selection since 2021, since they gave up their last three for Deshaun Watson. Drafting in the top-10 brings a sense of normalcy back to Browns fans, who are highly anticipating general manager Andrew Berry’s second attempt at finding a franchise QB.

Elsewhere in the top-10 of both the draft order and the fan interest rankings are the New England Patriots, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears.
