For the first time in a long time, the Pittsburgh Steelers are favorites to make the playoffs.
The Steelers have -115 odds to make the playoffs, compared to -105 odds to miss the playoffs, according to odds listed Tuesday by ESPN Bet.
The Steelers started out the 2023 season as playoff favorites, but haven’t gotten back there since their Week 1 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers. But the team has now clawed its way to 6-3 and looks like it has a good chance to make the playoffs as things stand entering Week 11.

The implied odds of the -115 line is that the Steelers have a 53.5% chance of making the postseason, but the true odds might be even better than that.
The New York Times has the Steelers at a 61% chance to make the playoffs. ESPN’s FPI gives the Steelers a 55% chance of making it to the postseason.
The Steelers missed the postseason in 2022, despite a 9-8 finish. The made the playoffs at 9-7-1 in 2021, the first year of a 17-game NFL schedule.
While the Steelers are favored to make the playoffs, they are considered a longshot to win the AFC North. ESPN Bet has the Steelers at +450 to win the division, tied with the Cincinnati Bengals for the worst odds. The Baltimore Ravens are the favorites at +130, followed by the Cleveland Browns at +225.
The Steelers are currently in second place in the AFC North thanks to a tiebreaker lead over the Browns. Both teams are a half-game behind the Ravens. If the Bengals beat the Ravens on Thursday Night Football, the Steelers will be in first place before they take the field again on Sunday in Cleveland.
The Steelers are currently 3.5-point underdogs against the Browns this Sunday.
