The Pittsburgh Steelers have finalized their 2024 preseason schedule, and announced their local television broadcast partner for the three-game preseason slate.

The Steelers will play the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in the third week of the 2024 NFL preseason. That game will kick off at 1 p.m. It had been scheduled as TBA in the original release of the schedule last week.

The first two games had been previously scheduled, with the Houston Texans coming to Acrisure Stadium on Friday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. and the Buffalo Bills returning to Pittsburgh on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m.

All three Steelers preseason games will be broadcast locally by KDKA-TV. Those local broadcasts are sometimes picked up nationally by NFL Network. The games selected for national broadcast in that fashion will be announced at a later date.

The Steelers faced the Texans on the road in the regular season last year, losing 30-6 on Oct. 1. They last saw the Bills in a 31-17 playoff loss in Orchard Park in January. The Steelers also played Buffalo in a preseason game in Pittsburgh last August.

The Steelers last faced the Lions at home during the 2022 preseason. Their last regular-season meeting was a 16-16 tie at Acrisure on Nov. 14, 2021. Pittsburgh’s last trip to Detroit was a 20-15 win in 2017.
