Three Steelers will miss this Sunday’s Week 3 showdown with the San Francisco 49ers due to injury, the team announced on Friday afternoon.

Linebackers Anthony Chickillo and Vince Williams have been ruled out after not practicing all week.

Chickillo has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot and will be replaced as the primary backup at outside linebacker by Ola Adeniyi.

Williams left last Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks in the first half with a hamstring injury. He was replaced by Devin Bush. Tyler Matakevich and rookie Ulysees Gilbert will back up Bush and fellow starting inside linebacker Mark Barron.

Fullback Roosevelt Nix had already been ruled out with a knee injury suffered in Week 1 against the New England Patriots.

Several other Steelers players missed practice at various points during the week, but they all participated fully on Friday and are set to play Sunday. That list includes running back James Conner (knee), outside linebacker Bud Dupree (ankle), cornerback Joe Haden (shoulder) and tight end Vance McDonald (back).
