PITTSBURGH — Steelers cornerback Joe Haden left his team’s game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday in the first half with a foot injury, and will not return.
Haden hurt his foot, and went into the medical tent on the Pittsburgh sideline for treatment. He came out of the tent and tried to run on it, but then went down the tunnel to the Pittsburgh locker room.
The Steelers announced him as questionable to return before later downgrading him to out for the remainder of the game at the half. James Pierre replaced Haden in the team’s base defense, and Arthur Maulet and Tre Norwood would be expected to play bigger roles in the sub package defenses with Haden out.
