Steelers Injury Updates: Alex Highsmith Questionable vs. Buffalo

PITTSBURGH — Steelers outside linebacker Alex Highsmith is officially listed as questionable for the team’s season opener against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Highsmith was a full participant in practice on Friday, after missing Thursday’s session and being limited on Wednesday with a groin injury.

If Highsmith is unable to play, veteran outside linebacker Melvin Ingram would be expected to step into a starting role opposite T.J. Watt, who said he expects to play at close to his usual amount of repetitions on Friday.

Highsmith is the only Steelers player with an official injury status for Sunday’s game.

Center Kendrick Green and nose tackle Tyson Alualu, who both missed time earlier in the week, are good to go, as is wide receiver James Washington, who was limited by a finger injury on Friday.
