PITTSBURGH — Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is having an MRI on the toe injury he suffered late in the team’s win over the Chicago Bears on Monday night, head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday.

Claypool was the only injury highlighted by Tomlin as significant after the game. He did not miss much time during the game, but would likely be replaced by Cody White if unable to suit up against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Three other Steelers players suffered minor injuries during the game that Tomlin said may limit them in practice this week. Inside linebacker Robert Spillane and defensive tackle Cam Heyward suffered ankle injuries. Defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs injured his hip. All were able to return to the game.

Tomlin was also optimistic about the potential return to the lineup of tight end Eric Ebron, who missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.

“Ebron had a good week last week,” Tomlin said. “We are anticipating him working, working as early as [Wednesday] and letting the quality of that work be our guide in terms of the potential inclusion of him in this plan.”
