PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin added a few names to his injury report on Tuesday in advance of his team’s Week 7 trop to face the Miami Dolphins.

Tomlin announced that wide receiver/kick returner Steven Sims (hamstring), guard James Daniels (ankle), center Mason Cole (left foot, right ankle), inside linebacker Myles Jack (left ankle) and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (right knee) also suffered injuries in addition to the ones that he announced after the game: quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) and cornerback James Pierre (stinger).

Pickett remains in the NFL concussion protocol but is expected to practice this week. Tomlin said that the rest of his injured players may be limited or need management this week.

The Steelers started the game against the Buccaneers without a significant number of injured regulars, with safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee), tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion), cornerback Cam Sutton (hamstring), cornerback Levi Wallace (concussion) and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring) all missing the game.

Tomlin said that he expects to get Freiermuth and Wallace back to practice this week, with their reactions to their return from concussions being the primary factor in whether or not they’ll suit up against the Dolphins.

If Sims can’t play, Gunner Olszewski would likely resume kick returner duties. Rookie Calvin Austin III (right foot sprain) remains on the injured reserve list, but is a candidate to be reinstated to the active roster this week.

J.C. Hassenauer filled in for Cole while he missed one snap against the Bucs. Kendrick Green is the team’s top backup to Daniels at guard. Green has not been active for a game this season.

Ogunjobi was removed early in the team’s Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills with a back injury and was limited in practice last week, but played in full until his late-game knee injury on Sunday. Montravius Adams, Tyson Alualu and Chris Wormley filled in for Ogunjobi.

Jack left the game twice with his ankle issue, returning for most of the game before eventually leaving it late and not returning. Jack was spelled by Robert Spillane.

Pierre was filling in for Sutton, Wallace and Witherspoon as a starter at outside cornerback, along with Josh Jackson. Quincy Wilson replaced Pierre after his injury and Jackson, Wilson and fellow practice squad member Marcus Gilbert will start the week as the only fully healthy outside cornerbacks.

Witherspoon has been out since being injured in Weeks 3 at Cleveland. Sutton tried to play through his hamstring injury against the Bills, but could not. Wallace suffered his concussion in Buffalo.

Fitzpatrick tried to play through his injury against Buffalo before being held out last week. He was replaced by Tre Norwood on Sunday
