Steelers Injury Updates: Eric Ebron Misses Practice with Hamstring

Published

on

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Eric Ebron was added to the injury report Thursday after missing practice with a hamstring injury. Ebron had been a full participant during Wednesday’s session.

Ebron is a co-starter alongside rookie Pat Freiermuth, and would likely be replaced by reserve Zach Gentry in situations that call for multiple tight ends if he does not recover by Sunday.

Defense tackle Carlos Davis (knee)was also held out of practice Thursday. He was limited yesterday.

Inside linebacker Robert Spillane was a full participant after being limited on Wednesday. He had suffered a shin injury in pregame warmups that forced him to miss last Sunday’s season-opening win over the Buffalo Bills.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster also returned to the practice Thursday. Both received a veteran day off Wednesday.
