Steelers Injury Updates: G Kevin Dotson Out, RB James Conner Questionable vs. Bengals

Steelers guard Kevin Dotson has been ruled out of the team’s Monday game against the Cincinnati Bengals, while running back James Conner is questionable to play.

Dotson suffered a shoulder injury during the Steelers’ Week 14 loss at Buffalo on Sunday and did not practice at all in the week of preparation leading up to the team’s Week 15 game at Cincinnati on Monday night.

Conner suffered a quadriceps injury at Buffalo and did not practice on Thursday before being a limited participant on Friday and Saturday.

Dotson, who was in the game against the Bills because he was filling in for injured starter Matt Feiler at left guard, was replaced by backup center J.C. Hassenauer. Feiler was placed on injured reserve this week and will miss the rest of the regular season. Hassenauer or reserve guard/tackle Derwin Gray are likely to start at left guard against the Bengals.

Conner yielded touches to both Jaylen Samuels and Benny Snell Jr. during the Buffalo game. Snell has gotten the majority of the playing time when Conner has been unavailable this season, including in Weeks 12 and 13, when he was on the COVID-19 reserve list.

Starting cornerback Joe Haden was a full participant in all three practices this week and seems poised to return from the concussion that held him out of the Buffalo game.
