Steelers Injury Updates: James Conner Limited, Kevin Dotson Sits Second-Straight Day

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner (quadricep) returned to the practice field in a limited capacity Friday, while guard Kevin Dotson (shoulder) did not participate for the second-straight day.

Conner did not practice Thursday after suffering the injury in last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. It was his first game back since missing the two prior with a spell on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Dotson was also injury in the loss at Buffalo, having entered the game in replacement of starting guard Matt Feiler, who suffered a pectoral injury and his since been placed on injured reserve.

He was replaced by backup center J.C. Hassenauer last Sunday, but Dotson could be spelled by reserve offensive lineman Derwin Gray if he is unable to play Monday night in Cincinnati.

Safety Sean Davis missed practice Thursday as well with an illness, but was able to return as a full participant on Friday.

Cornerback Joe Haden practiced fully for the second-straight day Friday, as he continues to recover from the concussion that sidelined him at Buffalo. He initially suffered the concussion Week 13 against Washington.

Lastly, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was back on the practice field following a customary day off on Thursday.
