Steelers Injury Updates: Levi Wallace, Josh Jackson Injured

PITTSBURGH — The injury bug has hit Pittsburgh’s secondary once again. Cornerbacks Levi Wallace and Josh Jackson are dealing with injuries that could affect their availability in the week leading up to their cross-state matchup in Philadelphia.

Levi Wallace is dealing with a shoulder injury. While it does not appear serious enough for him to be out long-term, Wallace’s availability will be determined by his practice participation. If he can not go, that would open up more snaps for James Pierre again.

Jackson, meanwhile, is dealing with a groin injury. It is another soft tissue injury that has plagued the Steelers’ secondary at times this season. While Tomlin does not anticipate it keeping Jackson out of the game, it could impact his practice availability leading up to the matchup on Sunday, which could affect his snaps compared to Pierre and others.

Ahkello Witherspoon is still dealing with the hamstring injury that has caused him to miss the past four games, as well. As such, it seems that Pittsburgh is once again short-handed in their cornerback room. Cam Sutton, James Pierre, and Arthur Maulet are the only currently fully healthy cornerbacks without an injury designation.

Damontae Kazee is still working back from his arm injury, but is practicing in his 21-day window to return to the field.
