Steelers Injury Updates: TE Eric Ebron Did Not Practice, K Chris Boswell Limited

Veteran tight end Eric Ebron did not practice in the Steelers’ first official workout session of the week on Thursday as the team prepares to host Chicago on Monday Night Football.

Ebron suffered an injury during the week that caused him to miss last Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. He was replaced by Pat Freiermurth and Zach Gentry, who both saw increased roles with Ebron out.

Kicker Chris Boswell, who remains in the NFL concussion protocol after taking a hit late in the first half against the Browns, was a limited participant, as was backup guard/center B.J. Finney (back).

The team signed kicker Josh Lambo to the practice squad on Tuesday, in case Boswell is unable to play.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (left pec/hip) and defensive lineman Cam Heyward (ankle) were also both limited, though they are not always full participants in early week sessions.
