Steelers TE Eric Ebron

Tight end Eric Ebron and linebacker Melvin Ingram III were limited for the Steelers in practice on Thursday as they continued their preparations for their trip to Cleveland this Sunday.

Ebron was a new addition to the Steelers’ injury list with a hamstring issue. He hasn’t missed a game yet this season and has been splitting top tight end duties with Pat Freiermuth. Freiermuth and third-string tight end Zach Gentry would be expected to absorb his role if he misses a game.

Ingram was limited for the second straight practice with a groin injury. The linebacker reportedly has requested a trade from the Steelers after seeing his playing time decline in recent weeks.

Ingram has been playing behind T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith as the team’s third outside linebacker. Derrek Tuszka is the only other outside linebacker on the active roster.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (hip/left pec) and wide receiver Chase Claypool (hamstring) were both full participants on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that he expected all 53 of his active roster players to be available.
