The Pittsburgh Steelers have made the first of many potential re-signings for 2019.

Defensive tackle Tyson Alualu was signed to a two year deal through 2020, per Missi Matthews of Steelers.com.

The financial details of the deal have yet to be released, yet its likely a team friendly deal close to the 2 year, $6 million deal he signed with Pittsburgh in 2017.

Alualu was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the number ten overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft, spending six seasons in Jacksonville before becoming a free agent and signing with the Steelers.

Alualu has amassed 61 total tackles in his two years in Pittsburgh, including 8 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. Alualu, primarily in a back-up position, has played in all but one game during his time as a member of the Steelers.

“I am blessed to be able to come back and play for an organization that I love being around, from the top to the bottom. From management to my teammates” said Alualu to Steelers.com. “I am thankful to get something done and be with the group of guys that are chasing that trophy. I am just excited to get something done as soon as possible.”
