Steelers Invite 18 to Minicamp, Including Two Former WPIAL Players

The Steelers invited 18 players to their rookie minicamp, which starts Friday morning at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side, including two more players from the WPIAL and a former Duquesne star.

Former Central Catholic and Vanderbilt safety Arnold Tarpley and former Mars and Monmouth kicker Matt White were among the players that joined the team for its first official practices in advance of the 2019 season, as was Duquesne wide receiver Nehari Crawford.

The other players invited are cornerback Antonio Blackmon (Purdue), quarterback Keller Chryst (Tennessee), cornerback Ravon Davis (Maryland), offensive lineman Drew Desjarlais (Windsor), offensive lineman Jesse Gibbon (Waterloo), quarterback Devlin Hodges (Samford), running back Cardon Johnson (James Madison), wide receiver Kaion Julien-Grant (St. Francis Xavier), offensive lineman Ryker Matthews (BYU), running back Steve McShane (Western Illinois), linebacker Matthew Oplinger (Yale), offensive lineman Damian Prince (Maryland), tight end Milan Richard (Clemson), linebacker Tuzar Skipper (Toledo) and offensive lineman Dwayne Wallace (Kansas).

Those players will be added to the Steelers’ first-year players, draft picks, and undrafted free agents for the three-day minicamp.
