CLEVELAND — Steelers kicker Chris Boswell was injured while attempting a fake field goal late in the first half of the team’s game against the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday and will not return to the game.

Boswell was rolling to his right on a fake field goal, when defensive tackle Jordan Elliott hit him as he threw the ball. Boswell went airborne into the sideline and landed awkwardly.

He was first taken to the medical tent and then to the Pittsburgh locker room for evaluation and treatment. The Steelers announced that he is being evaluated for a concussion and will not return.

Punter Pressley Harvin III is the only other kicker on the Steelers’ active roster.
