Daily Links: Bama OLB Anderson Mocked to Steelers; ‘Mean Joe’ Fetterman?

The Pittsburgh Steelers looked to shore up their outside linebacker position in a mock 2023 NFL Draft, while John Fetterman reference a moment in history in a campaign commercial.

🏈 A recent mock draft by Pro Football Focus has the Steelers landing Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4., 243-pound Anderson would look good rushing the passer in almost any defense, but it’s hard to see exactly where the Steelers would use him along with T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith.

Other options for the pick were Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carer and Northwestern offensive tackle Peter Skoronski. Three quarterbacks went off the board ahead of the Steelers pick: Alabama’s Bryce Young, Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud and Kentucky’s Will Levis.

🏈 According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers weren’t the only teams interested in Chase Claypool. The New England Patriots were also heavily involved.

🏈 United States senate candidate John Fetterman, a Democrat from Braddock, made a campaign commercial that parodied the iconic 1970s Coca-Cola commercial featuring Pittsburgh Steelers great Joe Greene.

🏈 Antonio Brown shot down concerns that his off-the-field behavior is related to CTE.

🏈 Steelers cornerback Cam Sutton is currently tied for sixth in the NFL in passes defended.

🏈 With the Black and Gold off on Sunday, Pittsburgh will get the Buffalo Bills at the New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers at the Cincinnati Bengals in the early window and the Los Angeles Rams at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the late window, per 506 Sports.

🏈 Former Steelers linemen Alejandro Villanueva and Maurkice Pouncey appear to be enjoying retirement. The duo got together for some fishing recently.
