The 2021 season may have been Ben Roethlisberger’s last of his NFL career, but that did not necessarily translate to fans flocking to their televisions to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to research by the Sports Business Journal, the Steelers were one of eleven franchises that saw their ratings drop from 2020 to 2021.

While Pittsburgh historically posts rating over 40, they dropped by 10% this past season.

The Steelers held a 40.18 rating in 2020, but fell to just 36.24 in 2021.

The Los Angeles Chargers saw the largest increase in the league, as their local TV rating jumped by 25% this season. They were one of 21 clubs that posted increases.
