The Pittsburgh Steelers are on hand in Indianapolis for the 2025 NFL Combine. According to reports on Thursday, the Steelers met with local product tight end Tyler Warren.

Warren, a fifth-year senior out of Penn State, is coming off his best season that saw the Nittany Lions make a deep playoff run. He recorded 104 receptions, 1,233 yards, and eight touchdowns.

Arthur Smith’s offensive scheme loves tight end play as displayed in 2024 with Pat Freiermuth–a fellow Penn State product–having a career year under Smith. Warren also stands at an enormous six feet and six inches–though those measurements are not official yet.

Similar to Freiermuth, Warren likely will need continuous refinement and has made his money as a zone-feasting pass catcher. Having those two tight ends and Darnell Washington continuing to improve as a pass catcher could create mismatches in the middle of the field.

As it stands, Warren might be taken well before pick 21, but the Steelers are doing their due diligence on the former four-star out of Virginia.
