The Pittsburgh Steelers got a close look at a potential draft sleeper last week at the Hula Bowl last week. According to a report by Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network, the Steelers had a meeting with Louisiana Monroe cornerback Car’lin Vigers at the Hula Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

Vigers, a 6-foot 3/4, 188-pound cornerback from Eunice, Louisiana, was an All-Sun Belt cornerback for the Warhawks, where he spent his final three collegiate seasons. Vigers had two interceptions, eight passes defended, 131 tackles, four tackles for loss and one sack in 35 games at ULM. Before Vigers joined the Warhawks, he spent two seasons at Independence Community College.

The Steelers could be looking at cornerback depth in the 2025 NFL Draft, with starting outside cornerback Donte Jackson, slot cornerback Cam Sutton and special teamer and backup James Pierre all set to hit free agency.

The Hula Bowl is generally considered to be a third-tier college all-star game behind the Senior Bowl and the East-West Shrine Bowl. The Shrine Bowl practices will start next Friday in Frisco, Texas, while the Senior Bowl begins its week of work on Jan. 28 in Mobile, Alabama.

In addition to Vigers, the Steelers have previously met with North Dakota State offensive lineman Mason Miller, Georgia Tech offensive lineman Jordan Williams, Minnesota defensive end Danny Striggow, Colorado defensive end BJ Green II, Pitt safety Donovan McMillonWisconsin linebacker Jaheim Thomas, Iowa linebacker Nick JacksonUtah running back Micah Bernard and UCF running back Peny Boone.
