Today, it’s Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick has not made much in the way of splash plays this season for the Steelers’ defense, but he has been doing an outstanding job of taking away the deep middle of the field for opposing teams.
His lack of noticeable splash, while his safety work happens off the screen, has led to many fans incorrectly assuming that Fitzpatrick hasn’t been playing well.
But this week, it will be obvious. Cincinnati Bengals star receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins have the ability to take the game over all by themselves. If they don’t, Fitzpatrick did his job.
