Steelers OT Joe Haeg

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reinstated wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud from the COVID-19 Reserve List, but the disease continues to play havoc with the team’s plans, as offensive lineman Joe Haeg was added to the list on Wednesday.

McCloud missed the team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals after being placed on the list last week.

Haeg, the team’s top backup at tackle and guard, will now almost assuredly miss the team’s Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.

The Steelers started B.J. Finney at left guard for the first time this season against the Bengals. Haeg had played the previous game as the team attempts to deal with the absence of Kevin Dotson, who is on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, and top interior backup J.C. Hassenauer on IR with a pectoral injury.

That leaves Finney to fill in at left guard and also be the backup center, with versatile backup John Leglue and practice squad guard Rashaad Coward as the team’s depth.
