The Pittsburgh Steelers have protected four players from their practice squad from being signed by other teams for Week 16 of the 2021 NFL season.

Guard Rashaad Coward, safety Karl Joseph, wide receiver Anthony Miller and outside linebacker John Simon are all on the Steelers’ protected list that was turned into the NFL on Monday.

Coward has been activated in each of the last two weeks to serve as depth at guard, though the team could get Kevin Dotson and/or J.C. Hassenauer back from the injured reserve list this week.

Joseph has also played twice this season, in Week 5 and Week 11. He made two tackles. Miller has been activated once, in Week 12 against the Bengals. He had one catch for two yards

Simon is a recent addition to the practice squad, joining on Dec. 13 after injuries to Alex Highsmith and T.J. Watt. He has not played in a game for the Steelers.
