The Pittsburgh Steelers protected defensive tackle Daniel Archibong, guard Rashaad Coward, tackle Chaz Green and wide receiver Anthony Miller from being signed from their practice squad for Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season, according to the NFL transactions page from Wednesday.

Archibong, a rookie from Temple, has played in two games for the Steelers, in Week 11 and Week 12, and made two tackles. The team’s depth at defensive tackle has since somewhat improved with the signing of Montravius Adams and Carlos Davis returning from injured reserve, but with Isaiah Buggs still out, Archibong remains the next man up at the position.
