Steelers Pull All Scouts and Coaches from Road, Restrict Travel

Steelers assistant coaches and scouts are returning home from their road assignments amid Coronavirus concerns, according to a statement made by the team.

The team announced Thursday that their will be a travel restriction on all staff members for at least the next few days as they aggregate more information regarding COVID-19.

The news comes just hours after the NFL announced that they have canceled their annual league meetings scheduled from March 29-April 1.

Head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert were together in South Carolina today for Clemson’s Pro Day.

The Steelers join countless others around the sports world taking extensive precautions to combat the virus. With the NBA and NHL suspending their seasons, and the NCAA cancelling their men’s and women’s basketball tournaments.
