PITTSBURGH — Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left the team’s home opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday with a right elbow injury, the team announced.

Roethlisberger was seen shaking and rubbing his right, throwing arm, during the Steelers’ final offensive drive of the first half. He briefly went to the locker room and then re-emerged during the end of the second quarter while the Steelers were on defense.

After an evaluation at the half, the Steelers announced that Roethlisberger is questionable to return. Mason Rudolph replaced him at quarterback.

Roethlisberger was 8 of 15 for 75 yards in the first half before his injury.
