The Steelers have released kicker Josh Lambo from their practice squad, the team announced on Tuesday.

Lambo joined the team a week previous after kicker Chris Boswell was placed in the NFL concussion protocol.

Boswell was released from the protocol and played a starring role in the Steelers’ 29-27 win over the Chicago Bears on Monday night, kicking two field goals of over 50 yards, a 40-yard game-winner and recovering a fumble.

The Steelers will have one open slot on their practice squad following Lambo’s released. Tight end Kevin Rader, who was called up to the active roster for Monday’s game, was automatically returned.
