The Steelers released Brandon Reilly, the wide receiver wrote on his Instagram page on Friday night.

Reilly, 25, joined the Steelers just after the start of training camp after being claimed on waivers from the Detroit Lions. He played in all four preseason games, making three catches for 53 yards.

The former Nebraska star has also played with Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys since leaving the Cornhuskers in 2016.

He is the seventh player the Steelers have released since the end of the preseason, joining tight end/long snapper Trevor Wood, cornerbacks Marcelis Branch and Jhavonte Dean , defensive linemen Henry Mondeaux and Casey Sayles and linebacker Jay Elliott.

The Steelers’ roster now stands at 84 players. They need to cut down to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Saturday.
