The Steelers have released wide receiver Deon Cain, the team announced on Saturday.

Cain, 24, joined the team on Nov. 16, 2019, when the Steelers signed him from the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.

A former sixth round draft pick by the Colts out of Clemson in 2018, Cain made five catches for 72 yards for the Steelers in 2019. In 13 games between Pittsburgh and Indianapolis, he finished with nine catches for 124 yards.

In three seasons at Clemson, Cain caught 130 passes for 2,040 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Cain is the 14th player to be released by the Steelers since the end of training camp on Friday, joining cornerback Trajan Bandy, defensive end Henry Mondeaux, defensive tackle Cavon Walker, outside linebacker Tuzar Skipper, punter Corliss Waitman, quarterback Paxton Lynch, running backs Trey Edmunds, Wendell Smallwood and Kerrith Whyte, Jr., tight end Kyle Markway, and wide receivers Saeed Blacknall, Ryan Switzer and DeAndre Thompkins.
