Steelers Rise to Eighth in Latest ESPN, Yahoo Power Rankings

Not only did Pittsburgh Steelers dismantle the Buffalo Bills in their season opener Sunday, but they also managed to make quite the impression on some former doubters in the process.

After beginning the season ranked eleventh in ESPN’s preseason power rankings, the Steelers now find themselves slotted eighth entering Week 2.

Even after losing a close contest to the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead, the Cleveland Browns jumped from seventh to sixth in the power rankings.

The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night, and subsequently free fell in the rankings from sixth to tenth.

An overtime win over the Minnesota Vikings saw the Cincinnati Bengals leap from 28th to 24th in the latest edition of ESPN’s rankings. Kansas City and Tampa Bay remained atop the rankings after their respective victories.

The Steelers are also ranked No. 8 in the post-Week 1 power rankings from Yahoo! Sports.

Pittsburgh returns to Heinz Field on Sunday, as they will host Las Vegas in the home opener at 1 p.m.
