PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Mississippi linebacker Mark Robinson with their first of two seventh round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Robinson is a 5-foot-11, 235-pound linebacker from Leesburg, Georgia. He played in just one season with the Rebels in 2021. He sat out the 2020 season due to NCAA transfer rules, while making the transition from running back to linebacker.

In 2018-19, he played running back for Southeast Missouri. In 2018, he rushed for 364 yards on 74 carries. In 2017 as a freshman, he was at Presbyterian College, rushing for 332 yards and five touchdowns.

Robinson will likely compete for a job with 2021 draft pick Buddy Johnson and veteran backups Ulysees Gilbert III and Marcus Allen at inside linebacker.
