Steelers Sights and Sounds: Ahkello Witherspoon, Cam Sutton Work on Coverage

UNITY TWP., Pa — The Steelers cornerbacks have been an under-talked-about position in training camp, but there is a fierce battle occurring for the starting cornerback spots. Between Ahkello Witherspoon, Cam Sutton, and Levi Wallace, there are three men competing for two jobs.

The competition is taking center stage in the mind of secondary coach Grady Brown, who is trying to put his three best defensive backs on the field in the team’s nickel package. While that will not be decided for the entirety of the training camp, Brown is still looking at technique and effort in every facet.

On Tuesday, both Witherspoon and Sutton looked solid while the rest of the Steelers cornerbacks continued to improve behind them as well.
