PITTSBURGH — The Steelers took the field for the first time as an organized team in the 2023 NFL offseason, and it came with the practice debuts of multiple veterans, including Patrick Peterson, Isaac Seumalo, Cole Holcomb, Elandon Roberts, and other free agent acquisitions.

The Steelers are now working towards mandatory minicamp and training camp as they prepare for the all-critical second season with Kenny Pickett under center. Peterson and others are already taking to their mentorship roles, while a quiet Isaac Seumalo toiled at work on the offensive line as the senior member of the group.

In addition to that, Calvin Austin III worked for the first time on the practice field since having foot surgery in November. He ran routes and went through the drills directed by wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson. XFL signee Hakeem Butler looked massive and even had some special accommodations throughout the wide receiver drills because of his size.

Lastly, the new linebackers all took the field with Tanner Muse, Cole Holcomb, and Elandon Roberts getting their feet wet with new inside linebackers coach Aaron Curry for the first time. The team worked all around the field on different areas and set the groundwork for going even deeper as they head into the minicamp.
