Steelers Sights and Sounds: Pat Freiermuth, TEs Run Routes, Block

UNITY TWP., Pa. — Pat Freiermuth is officially back on the practice field. Along with Zach Gentry, the two tight ends have missed some time with different injuries. On Monday, however, the tight ends were together on the field for the first time since training camp started.

On the day, tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts made it an emphasis to work on blocking. Each tight end, from Freiermuth, Gentry, Connor Heyward, Kevin Rader, and Jace Sternberger, all worked throughout the day on blocking and running routes. Despite the solid performance from the group on Saturday, Roberts was hard on them. However, it ended up being another productive day for the tight ends on the practice field.
